This post is LONG overdue. But tonight, I was reminded of what a beautiful friend I have in Rebecca Eccles. Let me first introduce to you all how we met. I consider it interesting.
One night AJ called me to tell me about a person at TCC's BCM (Baptist Collegiate Ministry) who was at Buffalo Wild Wings with the crew that usually went. This person, was Rebecca Eccles. They had begun to build a friendship through classes at TCC that they happened to have together. He told me that Rebecca had given her life to Christ, and proceeded to tell me more about this girl. At this point, I had yet to meet her. Usually, I would have a little jealousy in my heart. It's always at least a little uncomfortable to a girlfriend when her boyfriend begins a new relationship with a female. However, I have absolutely never had any of these feelings with Rebecca. Even before I met her. AJ, Rebecca, and Benjamin Lovel were the three best friends. They grew in friendship throughout their time at the BCM and spent a lot of time together hanging out. Even after I met Rebecca, this didn't change. Because of my job at TU's BCM at the time, as the intern, I was unable to hangout with their crew on the week nights because of the many events that TU had going on (not to mention the rigorous studies).

Rebecca Eccles, over the past two years, has become a very dear friend of mine as well. I praise God and thank God that AJ began a friendship with this beautiful young lady, because it gave me an opportunity to take part in this friendship as well. Rebecca was one of my bridesmaids, as you can see above. (Though, AJ probably desired to have her on his side of the wedding, but I won that fight!). Rebecca has completely and wholeheartedly captured what it looks like to live for Jesus. When I listen to her speak, I see Jesus in her. It doesn't matter what the conversation was initially about, it always ends in some sort of a praise of Jesus Christ. I appreciate the talks we have had, the encouragement we have given each other, the questions that have been asked. She challenges me. She is beautiful. She loves Jesus.
Becca is about to embark on a beautiful summer trip to the Dominican Republic and Guatemala. She will be working with people of the community and discipling them in Christ. God has readily equipped her for this journey, I am sure of it.
She is such a blessing in my life, and these words do not even scratch the surface of what she means to me. I only pray that I can be at least HALF the blessing to her as she is to me <3
